Perching Festival held

Speakers encouraged farmers on using perching technology to enhance production of different crops and vegetables in Nakla of Sherpur on Wednesday. They expressed this pinion in the Perching Festival organized by Nakl Upazila Agriculture Office (UAO) and the Jankipur IPM Club.

Kajol Kumer Bonik RTC, of Mymensingh region, Mohammad Ajijal Haque SMS of Mymensingh region, Atikur Rahman Sub Assistant Plant Protection Officer (SAPPO), Md Anowar Hossen Sub Assistant Agriculture Office (SAAO) of Chandrokona Block under Nakla, Md Emdad Hossain president of Jankipur IPM Club and among others spoke in the program.

Among others, Various IPM club and CIG Agricultural Co-operative Society, members of various organizations and farmers participated in the festival. Md Emdad Hossain president of Jankipur IPM Club said 'They are benefitted greatly from using perching as a part of green agriculture in crop fields.'

Sub Assistant Plant Protection Officer (SAPPO) Atikur Rahman said, 'There is no alternative to perching as part of green agriculture technology. Perching is an important agricultural technology in the production of poisonous vegetables, grains, flowers and fruits in small costs & labor.'
