State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, has called upon people to vote for boat in the next general elections for continuing the development pace of Bangladesh.
He said there is a need of bringing back Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to power again for the sake of retaining the country's present development rapidity.
The state minister was addressing a number of public meetings to mark the opening of various development schemes in different areas under Bagha upazila in Rajshahi district on Friday as chief guest, reports BSS.
Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shaheen Reza, the meetings were addressed, among others, by Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader and local Awami League leaders Ashraful Islam, Azizul Alam, Anjarul Islam and Babul Hossain.
Shahriar Alam said that the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to ensure all fundamental rights of the people. He said that the present government has been implementing various projects to improve living condition of the people.
He urged the people to repose their confidence in the government so that it can work for their welfare in the days ahead. Bangladesh would be economically self-reliant if Awami League remains in power, he said.
