Bangladesh into Asian Volleyball 2nd round
Bangladesh National Volleyball Team assured the 2nd round berth of the First Asian Challenge Cup Men's Volleyball as the Group B champions beating Mongolia by 3-1 sets in Colombo Monday afternoon.
Touring Bangladesh beat Mongolia by 25-22 points in the first set and defeated them again by 25-23 points in the 2nd set, but Mongolia returned to the match beating Bangladesh by 25-23 points in the 3rd set.
Horosit Biswas' Red-Green Bangladesh team snatched the important victory beating Mongolia by 25-19 points in the 4th set to assure the 2nd round berth of the meet.
Federation (BVF) on Thursday announced a 21-member final squad of Bangladesh team for the 1st Asian Challenge Cup Men's Volleyball scheduled for September 15-22 in Sri Lanka capital Colombo. Bangladesh team comprises 14 players and seven officials.
