Senior bankers at a discussion in Rajshahi have asked their subordinates to follow the banking laws and other rules and regulations strictly to make their day to day banking activities transparent and accountable.
They also urged them to gain professional skills as it is inevitable for attaining success in the banking sector for overall socio economic development of the region, reports BSS.
They were addressing the closing and certificate-giving ceremony of a five-day training course styled "Legal Aspects in General Banking and Credit" held at the bank's training institute on Friday afternoon.
RAKUB General Manager (Administration) Mozammel Haque addressed the session as the chief guest with principal of the institute Ataur Rahman in the chair.
Senior Faculty Member Subrata Kumar Sarker and Faculty Member Ziaul Haque also spoke. The discussants highlighted the importance of the bank in agricultural development of the northwest Bangladesh and asked the officers to apply the knowledge acquired from the training in the professional field properly for boosting agricultural production in the region.
A total of 37 officers and senior officers took part in the training course. Three of them who captured first, second and third positions were given prizes on the occasion.
