Former StateMinister Prof Rafiqul Islam, an aspirant of Awami League, has introducedtechnology-enabled services in electoral campaign seeking vote for party’ssymbol of ‘Boat’.
Prof RafiqulIslam has been utilizing mobile application and other digital platform to reachdevelopment message of the government among the mass of constituency.
“He (ProfRafiqul) has created a stir in the electoral areas by campaigning in theelectoral category. In many ways, the government has promoted development,progress and prosperity,” digital campaigner Mustafa Ashish Islam said whiletalking to the Daily Sun.
In the monthof mourning, the people of the electoral areas surprised the public with themessage of mourning day by 50 thousand activists on mobile phone voice SMS.
Then aroundone lakh people of Chaugacha-Jhikargachha Upazila expressed their gratitude tothe people for proper conduct of the mourning day program on short messageservice (SMS).
In order tohighlight the development and success of the government in the public, theformer state minister launched mobile apps-based campaign in the constituencycoverage. The theme of the campaign is ‘Give information to Get information –Vote for Boat’.
Before amass contract, the people of area got notification through mobile asking forparticipating public relations and workshops. These activities gave rise todiscussions in the areas, according to a campaign handout.
At the sametime thousands of mobile subscribers from the same area were invited from thesame area as the invitation was created by the villagers.
Prof RafiqulIslam said the country has moving forward in leadership pf Prime MinisterSheikh Hasina who envisioned to developed technology-driven good governance towardsbuilding a prosperous nation.
“The mobileapps help us to reach more people using connectivity. In the digital age, wetried to give a touch of simple touch to reach massage for voting on boat forkeeping pace in the developments,” Prof Rafiqul added.
Celebrating centpercent electrification of two upazilas, Prof Rafiqul disseminated the ‘goodnews’ via text message among over 1 million subscribers of the areas.
