Ingredients: 3/4 cup brown sugar * ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter * ½ cup clover honey * ¼ cup water * ½ tsp. kosher salt * 2 tsp. vanilla extract * 3 cups old-fashioned oats * 2/3 cup (3 oz.) dried tart cherries * ½ cup toasted wheat germ * ½ cup slivered almonds * ½ cup sweetened coconut * 1/3 cup sunflower seeds * 1/3 cup sesame seeds * 1/3 cup pepitas * ½ tsp. kosher salt * ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips, optional
Preparation
*Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine brown sugar, butter, honey, water, and salt in large saucepan. Warm over low heat until sugar and honey melt, and remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
*Combine dry ingredients, add to honey mixture, and stir to coat. Fill #16 scoop (or ¼ cup measuring cup) with dough, and drop onto baking sheets lined with parchment. Continue with remaining dough, dropping about 4 inches apart. Flatten dough balls slightly with scoop.
*Bake 13-15 minutes, or until set and golden. Transfer to a rack, and cool 20 minutes before serving.
