A number latest machinery for producing garments and textile items are on display at the ongoing exhibition on garments and textile machinery at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.   Exhibitors from 12 countries along with Bangladesh joined the expo having a total of 180 stalls.

The expo is about showcasing machinery, raw materials, yarn, fabrics, dyes, chemicals and other accessories. Some of the products are completely new in Bangladesh like automatic pearl setting machine. "One can easily set pearl by using this machine. It's completely new product and only we make it.

It will save 75% of  time in setting pearl. Most of the people still don't know about that product. We want to show that product to everyone through this fair,' said Md. Abdullah Parvez of Max & Zusan (BD) Co.

The Operation Director of  fair organizing company RedCarpet365 Ltd said, "We want to act like a bridge between buyers and sellers, that's why we started organizing such type of expos every year. It's all about networking. Our CEO believes that there is no alternative to business with networking, so do we.

Our main concern is to fulfill local entrepreneurs demand and assure them with 100% of after sell service." He further said, "We want local businessman to buy the latest upgraded products and machines which we can't build by ourselves or don't have one.

We are really happy that we did what we really wanted to." HOHENSTEIN brand came up with a new invention for the first time in Bangladesh. Audit and Certification Executive said, "We have that technology to tell you whether the cotton is 100% organic or not.

Local garments need that certification technology to maintain quality of their fabrics. We are the one who give that certification in whole Asia. So many local and foreigners already showed their interest about our new invention in the exhibition."

Ad-Din Group came up with HTM super high-speed cording embroidery machine. "Only 2 worker can easily run this super high-speed cording embroidery machine. It's able to do 20 design at a time. It will save your time by 50%,"  claimed  Machine Operator Raju Das.

Another machine which is also on display at the expo is 3D printer. It can create any shape of sculpture out of simple filament. Senior technician Md Rasel said, " Our 3D printer took only 4 hours to create a 10-4 inch sculpture. The idea of 3D printing is old, but in Bangladesh it's totally new."

Some recipients are satisfied with the outcome of the exhibition. They said they already found quiet good feedback. To them it's all about marketing. Managing Director of Quicksilver DYECHEM Bd. Ltd said, "We already selling our products to buyers outside of the exhibition, it's a regular process.

But we came here for a good marketing. Many local and foreign buyers come here to see what we got. If they like our product they will find us outside of the exhibition anyway. Because they don't find us here forever. This fair gives us a platform where we can easily contact with buyers and also give us an open opportunity to make strong our network."

On the other hand, some exhibitors are worried about the outcome of  this fair. One of them said, " There are few people who actually need those showcased products and not too many people visited our stall. If they contact us later then we can say that the purpose of coming here will not go in vain."

As these expos always play a big role in changing country`s business prospects the Operation Director of RedCarpet365 Ltd confirmed that they will continue the exhibition  in future. They already booked the venue and fixed the date for next expos on 7- 10 November of 2019 at the same place (ICCB).
