Dr. Kamal Hossain led Oikya Front has taken an initiative to find out partisan police and public administrative officials now working across the country for closing them and setting up non-partisan government staff to make the forthcoming election free, fair and neutral.
Front has marked a number of of "partisan officials" posted at the field level, especially deputy commissioners, additional deputy commissioners, upazila executive officers, assistant land commissioners, police supers, and officers-in-charge of police, oikya front sources said.
According the sources, this list after completion by evaluating across the country, front leaders will be hand over the list to Election Commission in the coming weeks to close them and demands to post non-partisan government officials for fair participatory election, front leaders have said.
In addition, Oikya Front may disclose a list of "corrupt high officials", together with information on their property, money laundering to foreign countries with documents. Besides, Oikya Front will build public opinion so that such corrupt and partisan government officials get no chance to work for ruling party candidates in the forthcoming election and the people of all strata will be urged to stand with them to boycott those officials.
Oikya Front leader Dr. Kamal Hossain has told The Asian Age that the ruling party has set partisan government officials from top to bottom in order to come back to power. The people of the country think that the officials only loyal to ruling party are the barriers to holding free and fair election.
Gono Forum Executive President Advocate Subroto Chowdhury has told The Asian Age that his organization must inform the EC of corrupt and partisan officials to take necessary action, otherwise they will disclose the facts and documents to the people in the days to come.
A team comprising forum leaders is working to find out the corrupt officials across the country and their job is about to end. The forum comes to realize that such people remaining in the government administration must hamper fair election on December 30, the team leaders said.
