A German delegation team consisting of four members visited The Asian Age office on Tuesday. The delegation team included Monika Gartner Engel, Chief Coordinator, International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties and Organizations (ICOR) and Gott Fried, Irmela Fried and Helga Boettitheimer from Marxist Leninist Party of Deutschland (MLPD).
The German delegates were greeted by Editor-in-Chief of The Asian Age Dr Jesmin Chowdhury while the newspaper's Chairman Shoeb Chowdhury was present. The German delegates came to Bangladesh on Monday following an invitation by Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB). The German delegation team exchanged their views with the officials of The Asian Age
regarding different issues of bilateral interest. The German delegates spoke very high of the friendliness of Bangladeshi people. They highly admired the quality and content of The Asian Age. Shoeb Chowdhury told the German delegates that The Asian Age believes in a secular ideology with a progressive outlook, integrity and it strongly opposes religious extremism and fanatic outfits.
The Asian Age always upholds the value of peace, brotherhood, socio-economic justice, freedom of press and democratic principles and it looks forward to very amicable ties between Bangladesh and Germany all the way ahead, Shoeb Chowdhury stated.
Kazi Sazzad Zahir Chandan, Assistant General Secretary of CPB and International Secretary of Garments and Trade Unions Center Monzur Moin were also present at that time.
