Cyclone 'Pabuk' weakened into deep depression over Andaman Sea
Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal no one as Cyclone 'Pabuk' weakened into deep depression over Andaman Sea.

The deep depression over southeast bay and adjoining Eastcentral bay moved North-Northwestwards over the same area (near Lat. 12.5°n, long. 92.0°e) and was centred at 06 am Sunday about 1080 km South of Chattogram port, 995 km south of Cox's BazarPort, 1140 km South-Southeast of Mongla port and 1070 km South Southeast of Payra port.

It is likely to move further North/Northwesterly direction and weaken gradually, said a met office special bulletin.

Maximum sustained wind speed within 48 kms of the deep depression centre is about 50 kph rising to 60 kph in gusts/squalls.

Sea will remain rough near the deep depression centre.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.

They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
