State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid yesterday said rapid expansion of electricity will help to transform villages into towns. "Our main goal to establish democracy and rule of law along with development of blue-economy, maritime resources, expansion of modern facilities to every village and make the young society into skilled manpower," he said this while exchanging views at a reception function at Bidyut Bhaban in the city.
The state minister said power and energy would be the main key of those developments. Officials of the power division gave a reception to Nasrul Hamid as he got reassignment of the same ministry. He urged officials for taking quick decision instead of indecision, adding, "We have to bag top position in future by implementing projects like previous tenure."
He also urged the officials to work sincerely to reach uninterrupted and affordable power facilities to the door steps of people.Power secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, PDB Chairman Engineer Khaled Mahmood, Director General of Power Cell Engineer Mohammad Hossain and officials concerned were present on the occasion.
Later, CBA leaders, Gopalganj Journalists Samity, Dhaka and well wishers greeted Nasrul Hamid with flower bouquets for his reappointment.
