Over 500 grassroots people at a folk-show in Rajshahi on Tuesday expressed their commitment of resisting terrorism and militancy collectively.
They also took oath of supplementing the government efforts for freeing the country from the curse of terrorism and militancy. Agriculture Sustainable and Socio-Economic Development Organiz-ation (ASSEDO) organized the folk-show 'Gamvira' on Dogachhi Government Primary School playground under Nachole upazila of the district.
The function was arranged in association with a project titled "Countering Radicaliz-ation of Religious Ideologies through Edutainment and Youth Engagement' which is being implemented in the area with financial support from High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh. The Gamvira performers disseminated and highlighted various messages of deadly consequences of terrorism and militancy among the attending people both males and females.
Nachole Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Kader and its Vice-chairman Mujibur Rahman addressed the session as guests of honor with headmaster of the school Mahmuda Khatun in the chair.
