People have been suffering for dilapidated condition of Saturia-Manikganj road. The 7 km long road carpet is already been destroyed at Kandapara to Railla area.

The Auto rickshaw is the only vehicle for Saturia people to go from Saturia upazila to Manikganj district town. Due to not having any bus services for communication the sufferings have increased in the area. Everyday thousands of people have to use Saturia-Kandapara-Railla-Manikganj road by auto rickshaw with a high risk.

The dilapidated condition of Saturia road from Kandapara to Railla remains the same for a long time but the authority could not take any step to reduce the sufferings of locals. The farmers cannot take their crops for selling to bazaar for the poor situation of road. So farmers depreciated for not selling their crops to bazaar at big hat.

The head teacher Sanihur Akhter of Saturia Pailot Girls' High School said, 'The students of Railla Abdur Jabber Polytechnic Institute, Railla Abdul Majid Photo High School, Railla Technical Institute and Railla Government Primary School use this road. So the authority should take steps to reform the road immediately.'  Locals said to The Asian Age correspondent, that the authority should take imediate step to repair Saturia to Manikganj road to reduce their sufferings as soon as possible.

Engineer of Saturia upazila Md Aiyub Ali said, 'They have sent a plan and budget to LGED sadar office for repairing the road. When LGED approves the plan they will begin the construction work.' Engineer of Saturia upazila Md Aiyub Ali thanked the Asian Age correspondent to bring the issue in front as well.
