Large number of visitors thronged at a five day long real estate fair in the capital. The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh(REHAB) organized the fair beginning from February 6 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in capital. The fair ended yesterday. A large number of visitors were seen in the last day of the fair.
On Sunday, vast people were seen in the fair premises. Visitors started coming to the fair from the morning. Even people were seen waiting outside the fair before the fair premises were opened at 9am.
Many people showed interest in loan schemes of different banks. A frequently visitor, who is a businessman, Mojahidul Islam Ripon said, "I have a piece of land at Uttara. I want to build buildings there. So, I need loan and that's why I came here."
"Generally, we have to face so many complexities in getting a loan from the banks. But here many banks are giving loans on simple terms. I came here after knowing about the fact," he pointed out. At the end of the day, participants were happy after receiving huge response from the visitors during fair days.
On the last day, most of the firms were seen to be focused on establishing relationships with visitors rather than doing business. "We have received a lot of response from customers so far. Most of the deals were completed in first half of the fair", said Rajbin Ahsan head of operation of bproperty.com an online based property firm. "But now we are giving more importance on making good relations with the visitors," he added.
One of the members of the organizing committee and Vice Chairman of REHAB Kamal Mahmud said, "Till 9 February, the number of visitors in our fair has exceeded 20 thousand. It was calculated only by sold tickets. Many more may have come without ticket."
"This year's REHAB fair experienced highest number of visitors, among the fairs we so far organized in the past. Participating organizations also expressed satisfactions. Overall, it was a great successful event," claimed Kamal Mahmnud.
