Language expert Professor Dr. Hakim Arif said that the introduction foreign words to our language should be handled properly. Bangladesh needs a state language policy along with a national translation authority.
The people of the country struggled for the right of mother language from the state ruling class who were not willing to establish our mother language. But , after 50 years of independence, our own government is not going ahead with the policy to strengthen Bengali language properly, he said.
Poet Asad Chowdhury said development of Bengali literature and cultural heritage is comparatively good. At same time, there is also the failure in taking proper initiative to strengthen the language. Bengali speaking people without state patronization established their right of mother tongue. But despite state patronization, our expectations are not getting fulfilled.
International Mother Language Institute Director General Professor Jinnat Imtiaz Ali told The Asian Age that the parliamentary committee for language documentation under Ministry of Cultural Affairs has recommended that all ethnic languages of Bangladesh must be stored, preserved and documented", he added.

The theme of celebrating the day from United Nations is that language is the most powerful instrument of preserving and developing tangible and intangible heritage and Bengali language movement is considered the milestone in the whole world.
Bangla Academy Director General Poet Habibullah Siraji said a trend of distorting is now being noticed. Incorrect Bengali language goes ahead. Incorrect Bengali spelling, inappropriate word and other bad practices are painful. According to him, the government in collaboration with all other has to come together to enrich the language.
