A two day long 25th annual international scientific conference of Bangladesh Society for Veterinary Education and Research (BSVER) titled 'Livestock in Achieving Sustainable Goals (SDGs)' will be held at Shilpachariya Zainul Abedin auditorium of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on today (Saturday).
BSVER and Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) will jointly organize the program. Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh Prof Dr Abdul Mannan will inaugurate the conference as chief guest while BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Ali Akbar will be addressed as chief patron.
Veterinary Science faculty's dean Prof Dr Nazim Ahmad, Director General (DG) of Department of Livestock Service (DLS) Dr Hiresh Ranjan Bhowmik, Executive Director of KGF Dr Wais Kabir and Country team leader of Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD) of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Dr Eric Brum will be addressed as special guest on the program.
On the inaugural program Prof Dr Md Akhter Hossain member of UGC of Bangladesh will honored with 'Annual Lecture Award' and Prof Dr Manik Lal Dewan founder president of BSVER will also honor with 'Lifetime Honor Award'. A total 77 scientific papers and posters and 66 oral articles will be presented in the two-day long conference.
