Indian Defence Secretary arrives in Dhaka

Indian Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra arrived in Dhaka yesterday to take part in a defence dialogue. He is leading a five-member delegation, said a press release of the Inter services Public Relations (ISPR).

The press released said, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics) Rear Admiral M Lokmanur Rahman received Sanjay Mitra on his arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday noon.

Besides taking part at the 2nd annual defence dialogue in Dhaka, the Indian defence secretary will also call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her security affairs adviser Major General (Retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique.

He is scheduled to visit Central Shaheed Minar, Bangla Academy and Morgan Girls' High School in Narayanganj. The Indian delegation will return home tonight.
