Women empowerment has been established as a pivotal issue in the modern world. We have celebrated the 49th Independence Day of our beloved Bangladesh. Women in this countryare any more back warded moreover our women have their successful steps on international sports, business, even in the Everest as well. According to a report of World Economic Forum 2018, Bangladesh is in the 2ndposition in Gender Gap Report.
More than 30 million women are directly involved in agriculture, service and industry sectors. In terms of political empowerment, Bangladesh holds 6th position globally. Along with leading country women are now working as judge, secretary, educationalist,banker, ambassador, corps, navy, district councilor, police super, superintendent, industrialists, entrepreneurs, human rights commission officers with goodwill everywhere bringing up their respective duties. As the contribution of women in development of education and business initiatives, Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh has been awarded as(Writing is not clear there) United Nation's "Planet 50-50" and "Agent of Change".
Empowerment of women, closure of women harassment, women slaying protection, safety provision of women in the workplace, and economic activities(something missing in there) securing the full participation of women and for the socio-economic development nationally many actions have been taken.
Under the ministry three institutions like respecting women, national women institute and women academy have been doing some development projects and other activities. Respecting women assembly 64 districts and 412 Upazila and under supervision of national women institute 64 districts and 84 upazila have been materialized several arrangements.
Gender Equalization assembly is in the process of national leading. In the local government sector, women's power has been increased and decentralized. With a view to knowledge-solvency of women, comprehensive project has been taken to information and technology sector.
For empowering women some rules-regulations and instructions have made in last ten years. National Women Development Rule-2011, Family Violence Act-2010, DNA Act-2014 and Family violence Assembly 2013 are some bright examples.
According to 2013, Bangladesh ranks 72 within 144 countries in women empowerment, which is better than any south Asian country. For women's empowerment, for them, deliberately and in need of good working environment some steps have been taken:
* Maternity leave has been extended 3to 6 months;
* In union digital union center information apa and female entrepreneurs have been secured;
* Vocational training for poor women has been provided;
* Free training program has been undertaken for 18 business trades including driving, income generating programs;
* Social awareness raising, torture prevention and rehabilitation programs were introduced for marginalized, disadvantaged and disadvantaged women;
* District-based women's computer training system has been taken;
* 'Women's Torture Prevention Cell' has been launched at the National Women's Organization;
* Self-help loan loan has been started from the Prime Minister's special fund;
Economic release and empowerment of women and institutional funding system
In order to ensure greater access, Bangladesh Bank has also taken various steps and activities to increase the number of entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs, particularly the new women entrepreneurs, in favor of new women entrepreneurs.
Namely- (1) All the banks / non-bank financial institutions will have to find the women or women entrepreneurs who are willing to undertake at least three initiatives in each area, who have not previously taken any kind of loan from any bank or non-bank financial institution. But if the number is more and more the bank will be appreciated.
(2) In order to increase the capacity of the selected women entrepreneurs to expand their capabilities including choice of industries / services / business activities, collection and management of the capital, business management, marketing of products or services manufactured, bank account opening and transaction method, banks / non-bank financial institutions BSCIC, SME Foundation, Mahi, if required at the main branch and regional level at their own initiative Affairs Department of the National Women's Organization, Youth Development Department, the Business Chamber / Association of Women Entrepreneurs Chamber / ayasosiyesanasaha support similar organizations have adopted the policy of joint training.
Women friendly sales network"Joyita" has now been established in almost 13 thousands village health centers.More than 18 free training programs have been taken in hand in income generating program. Approximately 16,500 community health clinic and union health center have been established. Women and children cardiac department have been established in National heart foundation
One-stop crisis has been set up in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Faridpur medical colleges. Social concern of marginal and unprivileged women is increasing rapidly. Harassment protection and rehabilitation project haves been started.District based training program has been protecting women from harassment. Self-task directed loan scheme has been started by Prime Minister's special fund.
Overall, through the Ministry of Women and Children affairs, several schemes like maternity allowance for poor women, miserable women and children helping fund, women's assistance center, service investment information center, sales and exhibition center(Angona), female entrepreneur(Prayash), vulnerable group development for ultra poor, food unsafe poor women's development, establishment of women working hostel, sewing machine distribution and widow allowance program overall positive impact have been being implemented for women's development.
