Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi has said whichever party comes to power in India, Bangladesh's relations with its neighbor will always remain good. He came up with the remark while talking to journalists after a scholarship giving program at the Syed Sirajul Islam Auditorium in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria yesterday.
Gowher Rizvi said, "Election is an internal affair of India. A government will come with a fresh mandate. Our relations with India will remain intact whichever party comes to power." Dr Gowher Rizvi was addressed as chief guest the program while Prime Minister's Special Assistant Barrister Shah Ali Farhad was the guest of honor.
FBCCI Director Priti Chakrabarty presided over the function while Umme Fatema Nazma Begum MP, Brahmanbaria DC Hayat-Ud-Dowla Khan, Additional Police Super Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Sarail Upazila Parishad Chairman Rafique Uddin Thakur and Sarail Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Saleh Mohammad Mosa were present as special guests.
Some 65 students from 10 secondary schools in Sarail upazila were given scholarships in the program. Five underprivileged students also got financial assistance.
