'Belt and Road Meets Digital Bangladesh' conference held Bangladeshi tech delegation joined 2nd China Bangladesh Capital Market conference on 'Belt & Road meets Digital Bangladesh" at Shenzhen Stock Exchange' recently.

A conference titled "Belt and Road Meets Digital Bangladesh" was held at Shenzhen Stock Exchange in China on May 6 where more than 25 Bangladeshi Technology Companies had the opportunity to interact with about 100 Chinese investors and companies.

Shenzhen is the technology capital of China and more than 2100 companies are listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the 8th largest stockmarket globally with a combined market value of $ 3.3 trillion, said a press release yesterday.

This was the first major technology event held by Bangladesh in China, the release added. In the conference, there was the launching of Bangladesh window on Shenzhen Stock Exchange's V Next platform, reports BSS.

According to the release, the Bangladesh window allows Bangladesh tech companies (as well as other sectors) to directly access Chinese investors in an unprecedented way and it is an extension of Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchanges' Strategic partnership.

The 22 Bangladeshi companies that took part in the V Next Roadshow included: Circle FinTech, Chaldal.com, Shadmart, Hungrynaki,Sheba.xyz,Handymama,Daktarbhai,PBazaar.com, C-Med, Red GreenWalton, Ok nobile, Datasoft Manufacturing,Genex/IPE group, Business Automation, Future Global, Spectrum, MyCell, Fiber@home, E-Generation, ICBS Primax, Devotech.

The response of Chinese investors and companies was positive, the release said. The May 6 "Belt and Road Meets Digital Bangladesh" Conference, is an important start in the process of finding mutually beneficial tech opportunities between China and Bangladesh, the release added.
