Fasting brings immeasurable benefits for our physical and mental health. That's why it is thought that in the near future all walks of people will start fasting not only for their spiritual but for their physical well being. In sura Bakara, verse no.184, it is said, '[Fasting for] a limited number of days.
And whoever volunteers excess- it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew.' In this regard science says, there's lots of benefit of fasting. According to medical science, fasting has much influence on our digestion process. During fasting our liver not only help to digest food but perform other many activities. That's why liver gets tired and takes rest, and this rest should last for at least one month.
Doctor Luthar jim from Cambridge collecting some fasting people's stomach secretion from their gullet tested in a laboratory. From the test he found that from fasting the total cure of 'food particle septic' is possible. Besides many diseases can be cured through fasting including diabetes, hypertension etc.
Not only that, fasting has many other benefits which make our body and soul refresh and livable. That's why it is thought that in near future all walks of people regardless of any religion, color or caste will start fasting considering its physical and spiritual well-being.
