Language soldier and freedom fighter Shamsur Rahman Sharif MP inaugurated the boro rice collection program in two government food warehouses in Ishwardi. During this time, he said, no dishonesty, bribery or corruption will be tolerated in rice collection during Boro season. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared zero tolerance to bribe and corruption. Legal action will be taken against corrupted people in my constituency, he added.
On Monday morning in the chairmanship of Joynal Abedin, Upazila Food Control Officer, Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ahmed Husain Bhuiyan was present there as special guest. Officer-in-charge Bahauddin Faruki, Ishwardi LSD SMO Asaduzzaman, Muladuli manager Omar Faruque, Chaul Kol Malik Somity General Secretary Julmat Haider, Mill Malik Ratan Mahaldar, Abdul Hannan Malitha and Emdad Hossain were also present. In the current Boro season, the government will procure 17,879 metric tonnes boro rice in two godowns of Ishwardi.
