Rain delays Pakistan-Sri Lanka match

Rain delayed the toss of the clash between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the ICC Men’s World Cup in County Ground, Bristol. 

As per the latest weather update, the match might take some more time to get started. 

Before coming to this all-Asian encounter, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won one match each in two games that they have played in the tournament so far.

Pakistan lost to West Indies by seven wickets in their tournament opener but made a stunning turn-around in the second game thumping hosts England by 14 runs. 

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, started this iteration of the World Cup losing to New Zealand by 10 wickets. 

However, Sri Lanka made a good comeback beating Afghanistan in the next game by 34 runs. 

Friday’s match comes as a platform to step up in the points table for both the teams.
