Maritime ports asked to keep hoisted signal 3

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No 3.

In a bulletin, the Met Office on Friday said that the low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal, Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh persists.

A deep convection is continuing under its influence.

The Met Office said that squally weather was likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

It advised all the fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay to proceed with caution until further notice.
