To increase the happiness of Eid-Ul-Fitr people rushed to the border for finding recreation. They went to see the scenery of moving the flags by the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) together at Akhaura land port in Brahmmanbaria.
People from different part of the country came to this place for watching this flag moving scenario which duration is ten minutes. Flags were being moved from both sides on 5 pm at the time of sunset.The environment of Akhaura Land Port became festive by the sounds of boot of the armies from both sides of the borders.
After finishing the formalities the place was opened for few moments. People of both countries exchanged their happiness and communicated with each other by standing inside the border of barbed wire.Visitors around the country captured the moments of reunion of two sides of people from two countries.
On the afternoon of Eid-Ul-Fitr Mehedi Hasan a tourist living in Rampura of Dhaka came to the spot. He told The Asian Age that he had never seen such beautiful scenery of reunion and he enjoyed a lot.
Captain of BGB battalion-25 Cornel Md Golam Kabir said, 'around one thousand visitors come to watch the flag moving scenery from different part of the country, we are really sorry for maintaining the sitting capacity for everyone but in near future there will be a gallery for the visitors on behalf of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB)'.
