He also said the victim filed a case with the police station on Friday noon.

On primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed to their involvement in the incident, the OC claimed.

Introducing himself as Sumon, Nur-e-Alam, son of Abdul Hamid of the Bairati village, had developed a relationship with the victim of Maska village in the same upazila while working at the same sweater factory in Gazipur.

They came to their villages to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. Nur-e-Alam invited his female peer to visit his house and took her on Thursday by a motorcycle for this.

Later, Nur along with the victim visited different places. They reached Guzbazar in the evening when he told her that the motorcycle went out of service.

He then made a phone call to someone and soon three youths appeared and took them to a brick kiln forcibly where the trio raped the female RMG worker in turns after tying up Nur.

However, all of them, including Nur, fled the scene later leaving the victim behind, the case statement said.
