RAM Obaidul Muktakdir Chowdhury MP, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on civil aviation and tourism ministry, has urged the students to support the good works of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and get engaged with efforts of building a prosperous Bangladesh.
He came up with the call as the chief guest at a reunion program of the former students of Porikkhon Bidyalay adjacent to Primary Teachers' Training Institute (PTI) in Brahmanbaria on Saturday.
Muktadir Chowdhury, also president of Brahmanbaria District Awami League, said, "All should be vocal against social injustice, drugs, child marriage and terrorism."
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Sahedul Islam, Brahmanbaria Press Club President KAM Rashidul Islam, ex-PTI superintendents Kafil Uddin, Habibur Rahman, Jesmin Khanam, assistant superintendent Umme Kulsum and Brahmanbaria Chhatra League General Secretary Shahadat Hossain Shovon also among others attended the program chaired by Abdul Mannan, superintendent of Brahmanbaria Primary Teachers' Training Institute.
Muktadir Chowdhury MP said, our forefathers were involved in the establishment of Dhaka University. Brahmanbaria gave birth to the first Muslim barrister. Golden sons of Brahmanbaria had played a key role in driving out the British colonizers from our country. They had established a people's Bangladesh ending the autocratic rule of Pakistan. He urged students to make a developed and prosperous Brahmanbaria.
