Cottrell strikes twice before rain

Cottrell strikes twice before rain
After a magnificent start by the windies with the bowl, the rain has interrupted the match. According to last update, South Africa was 29 for 2 after 7.3 overs.

With the new ball, the windies bowlers were up to mark. The South African batsmen were finding it difficult to take runs against them. Cottrell was the best bowler so far and proved to be the most dangerous bowler in this counter. He took the crucial wickets of Hasim Amla and Markram.

Amla's poor form with the bat in this world cup continues as he fell cheaply after scoring only 6 runs. Markram also did not stay at the crease for too long. He was caught behind by wicket keeper Hopes at the bowling of genius Cottrell. He did not trouble the bowlers as he went back to the pavilion after scoring only 5 runs.

Meanwhile de Kock is still hanging back at the crease with 17 runs and manage to move the score board by not taking any great risk. Captain du Plessis joined de knock after Markram went back. He was not able to take any run after facing 9 deliveries.

As Windies were fully controlling the match, the weather made its appearance for interruption. After 7.3 overs the rain has halted the play.
