Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that this time a much higher number of educational institutions would be included under MPO (monthly pay order) facility.
Dr Dipu Moni provided this information on Tuesday at Parliament while answering a question. She said that the government is giving importance to everything in terms of quality. This government has been elected by the country's people, she further said. She added that this government always keeps away from politicization when it comes to the betterment of education and all other sectors.
Dr Dipu Moni remarked that Bangladesh has made immense economic progress. Literacy rate and per capita income have increased too. Educational institutions in the constituencies of all parliamentarians would be added to the MPO list on the basis of their academic standard, she assured.
37% students drop out of schools at the secondary level, Dr Dipu Moni informed Parliament. However, the dropout rate has decreased compared to the past and the government is trying to reduce it further, she stated.
Dr Dipu Moni said that the present government has been working with the best of its efforts to enhance educational quality. The target of this government is to build up competent human resource for the future of Bangladesh, she commented.
