Professional education: the best answer to 4th industrial revolution

The word 4th industrial revolution has become very familiar now to us. Many traditional jobs will be carried out by robots and machines as a result of this revolution. So, in easy words, many traditional jobs will be lost, but many new jobs will be created too.

The burning question that comes to our mind is, "Will traditional education be able to satisfy the requirements of the jobs in the era of 4th industrial revolution?" Unfortunately, the answer is a big NO. The graduate unemployment rate in Bangladesh is 47% (Source: ProthomAlo). This survey carried out by BBS also shows that, the more educated you are, the more is your chance of remaining unemployed.

The answer to the problem is professional education, which will turn a student into specialist in a particular field with both examination and practical experience. So, after completion of education, that student will be more employable compared to others. The big difference between professional and traditional education is that there is scope of gaining practical work experience while studying a professional qualification which is not available in traditional education.

ACCA is a globally recognized professional qualification in the field of accountancy. But, it equips a student with knowledge of all the fields of business, making the student multi-skilled so that the student can be easily employed in home and abroad after completion of a certain level. A student can obtain Bsc Honors in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, UK after completing a certain level of ACCA, which is a unique opportunity to gain a combination of both professional and academic qualifications.

There are more than 600 ACCA qualified people in Bangladesh and they are working in more than 200 organizations in Bangladesh and the unemployment rate among the ACCA qualified people is almost non-existent. Many of them have migrated to Canada, Australia, UAE, Qatar, Malaysia and they are successfully working there in reputed organizations.

Edbase professional is a wing of Edbase, a renowned tuition provider for IGCSE and A Levels for a decade. Edbase Professional started its journey 1 year ago as an Approved Learning Partner (ALP) of ACCA and our journey has been marked with success of our students in just a single year.

Not only education, but also in job market, our teachers help the students to find employment and we have successfully placed 23 students in different audit firms and multi-national companies.

We groom our students' right from the start of their ACCA education life for their career, enhancing their soft skills to ensure their employability and success in job or entrepreneurship.

This is the only ALP of ACCA in Bangladesh that is run by ACCAs only and we believe that, theoretical education along with practical experience is the best answer to the globally demanding job market in this era of 4th industrial revolution.
