Kriti Kharbanda is in a happy space, professionally. The actress has three diverse and interesting films lined up for release in the coming months 'Pagalpanti', 'Housefull 4' and 'Chehre'. She excitedly shares, "This is the first time I have such a variety of roles in my kitty. In 'Pagalpanti', I play a girl, who, I think is slightly inspired by the character of Phoebe (from the hit sitcom, 'Friends'). What I like about my character is her confidence, even when she doesn't make sense (smiles!)".
Moving on to 'Housefull 4', she says, "I play one of the three sisters; this film required me to train hard, because my character has to perform a lot of action sequences. I found it really challenging, and am excited that for the first-time people will see me performing stunts on screen."
And, what about 'Chehre'? Kriti replies, "My character has shades of grey, and I am sure that it will turn out to be one of my most powerful performances. It's a role where I have to emote more through expressions than dialogues. So, I have some interesting and diverse films lined up this year."
Ask what makes her say 'yes' to a film, and she elaborates, "I don't know what works for me, but I firmly believe that variety is the spice of life. So, what I look for is variety - I don't like to repeat myself on screen.
And in case I end up repeating myself, it becomes a bigger challenge to outdo my own previous performance. Mostly, I just go with the flow; I don't have any agenda or a checklist (before signing a film). I go with my heart and my instinct. Also, it all boils down to what comes to you - at the end of the day, you choose the best from the lot and everybody's lot in this industry is different."
