Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands
Dutch Queen Maxima arrives in Bangladesh today on a four-day official visit to see various development activities on the ground. Queen Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti has served as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since 2009.
As Special Advocate, she is a leading global voice on advancing universal access to and responsible usage of affordable, effective and safe financial services. She is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) by an Emirates flight at 5:20pm.
On Wednesday morning, she will visit the UN headquarters in Dhaka at IDB Bhaban in the city's Agargaon area and hold meeting with representatives of development partners there.After that, she will visit Zindari union parishad office of Palash in Narsingdi and a boutique shop at Tongi.
On Thursday, the Dutch Qeeen will attend a roundtable discussion with representatives of private sectors and have a meeting with Bangladesh bank governor and officials of finance and post and telecommunication ministries.At the afternoon, she will go to Bangabhaban to meet with President M Abdul Hamid.Queen Maxima is scheduled to leave Dhaka in the early morning of Friday.
