A press conference on the recruitment of Police Constable was held in Sherpur organized by District Police on Tuesday.

73 applicants got the job with Taka only 103. According to PPM award winner Police Super (SP) Kazi Ashraful Azeem, 23 female quotas and 50 male quotas, among that from general quota, freedom fighter quota, pet quota, orphan quota, Anshar and VDP quota were recruited finally.

Those who got the job are really very needy. Their fathers are farmer, day labor; rickshaw and Van puller, Imam and Muazzem in the mosque, shopkeeper etc. Some applicants were also kept in the waiting list.

At first more than two thousand applicants took part in physical health test. From them 885 applicants were selected for written test. Among them 226 applicants were selected for viva voce. Finally 73 applicants got the job with Taka only 103. Then newly appointed police constables of the district took oath against the any corruption.

An addicted applicant was deducted though he passed. He was identified in the droop test. We have tried our level best to complete the recruitment fairly. Finally we have been successful in implementing it. Additional SP and ASP conducted the total recruitment process.

In this time, Additional police super Shafiul, assistant police super Jahangir Alam, Moham-mad Abdullah Al Mamun OC of Sherpur police station, Mohammad Ruhul Amin OC of Shribardi police station, Abu Bakkar Siddik OC of Jhinayghati police station, Md Mukhlesur Rahman OC of district DV, guardian of newly appointed police constables, journalists of different media were also present.
