South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon on Monday paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before wrapping up his three-day long official visit in Bangladesh.
Lee Nak-yon paid the homage placing a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in capital's Dhanmondi in the morning.
Saima Wazed Hossain, daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, received Lee on the museum premises.Lee Nak-yon was briefed about the history of the Father of the Nation. Later, he signed the visitors' book there where member secretary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Memorial Trust, Sheikh Hafizur Rahman was also present.
The South Korean Prime Minister arrived in Dhaka on Saturday on a three-day official visit as the first country of his four-country visit in a row. The other countries are Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Qatar.
Lee joined a dinner with representative of the Korean community in Dhaka on Saturday evening at the Hotel InterContinental. The Korean premier started his official visit by showing tribute to the memories of Liberation War martyrs by placing wreaths at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar on Sunday morning.
From the Memorial, he visited YoungoneHitech Sportswear in Savar EPZ and the National Institute of Advanced Nursing Education and Research at Mugdapara in Dhaka.
The Korean premier holds bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Prime Minister's office (PMO) in the afternoon on the same day.
Lee also delivered a keynote speech to Bangladesh-Korea Business Forum organized by FBCCI and KITA at InterContinental Hotel at noon. After holding meeting with Sheikh Hasina, the Korean Prime Minister called on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
In the evening, he joined a Banquet dinner hosted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonogram.Foreign minister Abdul Momen saw the Korean Premier off at HSIA when Lee depart Dhaka for Tajikistan by a special flight.
