Lawyer Aslam to advocate for Minni

Lawyer Mahbubul Bari Aslam has been appointed to advocate for Ayesha Siddika Minni in the much discussed Rifat murder case. Mahbubul Bari Aslam is supposed to apply for Minni's bail on Sunday.

Mahbubul Bari Aslam is General Secretary of Barguna District Bar Council. Minni's father Mozammel Hossain Kishore appointed lawyer Mahbubul Bari Aslam to advocate for Minni in this case.Mozammel Hossain Kishore said, "My daughter is fully innocent. She did not commit any crime."

Mahbubul Bari Aslam said everyone has the right to get legal support. Minni is the key witness of the murder of her husband that occurred in front of Barguna Government College on June 26.Rifat Sharif, a 25-year-old internet service provider, was indiscriminately hacked by a group of youths on that spot.

In a video clip of the incident that went viral on social networks, Minni was seen screaming and trying in vain to save her husband from the attackers.The victim's father filed a murder case with Barguna Sadar Police Station against 12 people on the same day.The prime accused in the case, Nayon Bond, was killed in a "gunfight" with police on July 2.
