Indian water resources secretary Upendra Prasad Singh will lead a four-member delegation while his Bangladesh counterpart Kabir Bin Anwar will lead an eight-member Bangladesh delegation, an official told UNB.
The meeting will begin at state guesthouse Meghna at 11am and a media briefing will take place at 5:30pm.
Both sides are likely to discuss ways to go for a joint study to ensure the best use of Ganges water. Bangladesh and India share a total of 54 transboundary rivers.
On Tuesday, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das met State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque and discussed matters related to bilateral cooperation in water management.
