Teachers' signatures allegedly forged

Teachers' signatures allegedly forged Anowar Mia Belayet Khan

With an ulterior motive, signatures of three teachers of Deora Adarsha Uchcha Bidyalaya in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria has allegedly been forged by former adhoc committee chairman and acting headmaster.

Munijur Rahman, a teacher of the school, has filed a general diary with Sarail Police Station in this connection. It has been alleged in the general diary that ex-adhoc committee chairman Anowar Mia and acting headmaster Belayet Khan forged signatures of Munijur Rahman, Shirin Akter and Farhana Begum in the statement of teachers and employees and sent it to the higher authorities.

Though the adhoc committee has no authority to recruit teachers and employees, Anowar Mia and acting headmaster Belayet Khan applied to the NTRC for recruitment of teachers. Thereafter, three teachers were recruited by the NTRC. But in the statement of teachers and employees, teachers recently recruited by the NTRC were shown compulsory teachers, while Munijur Rahman and Farhana Begum were made additional teachers.

As a result, Munijur Rahman, Shirin Akter and Farhana Begum didn't put their signatures on the statement. Later, Anowar Mia and Belayet Khan forged the signatures of three teachers and submitted the statement to the office concerned.

In context of such 'forgery', aggrieved teacher Munijur Rahman filed a writ petition with the High Court. After hearing, the apex court issued a rule nisi staying the MPO scheme of three teachers appointed by the NTRC for six months. Contacted, former adhoc committee chairman Anowar Mia and acting headmaster Belayet Khan denied all allegations against them.

It is mentionable that Anowar Mia is a relative of acting headmaster Belayet Khan. He is a small fertilizer trader. His shop is located near the school. When he was the adhoc chairman, he often appeared at school wearing lungi and T-shirt. He frequently misbehaved with teachers of the school.
