RMG businessman Shakir Ahmed  has made a record by buying a sacrificial animal named 'Boss' at Tk 37 lakh from a cattle market in Dhaka. He is the nephew of Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam.

The bull is the most expensive sacrificial animal ever sold in the history of Bangladesh, reports a national news portal.
Shakir Ahmed said, "I have bought the bull to sacrifice in the name of Almighty Allah. Keep me in your prayers."

The cow was reared by Imran Hossain, the owner of Sadik Agro Farm situated in Mohammadpur Beribandh area. "I had some 1,400 cows in my farm. Among them, Boss was the largest." Imran further said. Apart from this cow, he sold many other large cattle.

On Wednesday, the Gabtoli cattle market had the largest number of sacrificial animals, though the sale was not up to the expectation. Though a good number of people visit the cattle markets, the real purchasers is low.
