Popular actor Nirab Hossain is going to star in a sequel followed by his much-discussed film 'Abbas', which became a hit across the country after its release. The director of the film, Saif Chandan, disclosed the matter at a program held at a city hotel on Sunday night. The new movie titled 'Abbas-2' is going to be shot in mid-August this year. 'Abbas grabbed viewers' attention and brought them back to cinemas amid the critical period of cinemas. It is a very positive sign,' said director Saif.
'The character of Abbas, played by Nirab, captured the hearts of the movie lovers,' he added. Although the story will be quite similar, Nirab will appear in a different look in the film. Along with Nirab, actor Taskin Ahmed will also be casted in the new film. 'I hope the upcoming film will also be appreciated by the viewers,' said Taskin.
'The new movie has been chalked up taking into consideration some mistakes and criticism regarding the previous one,' said Nirab. Though he did not disclose his role in 'Abbas-2', Nirab said his role will delight the audience. 'Playing the character of 'Abbas' was very challenging for me. But I enjoy taking challenges,' he added.
Nirab is now shooting for his upcoming film Officer Return while the production work for the films Hridoy Jurey and Roudro Chhaya are about to finish.
