Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday attended a milad and doa mahfil in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 seeking eternal blessings for Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of August 15, 1975 carnage.
Bangladesh Mohila Awami League arranged the prayers coinciding with the National Mourning Day after Asr prayers, reports BSS. Sheikh Hasina's daughter Saima Wazed Hossain and other family members and relatives were with her at the milad.
Awami League Presidium Members Begum Matia Chowdhury and Advocate Sahara Khatun, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira and leaders and workers of Mohila Awami League and Jubo Mohila League attended the milad.
A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu, Bangamata Fazilatun Nesa Mujib and other martyrs of the carnage. Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of the August 21 grenade attack victims.
