A nazir and a peskar of courts in Noakhali have been temporarily suspended over their alleged involvement in corruption.
The suspended are, Mohammad Alamgir, nazir at Noakhali District Judge Court and his wife Nazmunnahar, peskar at District Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.District and Sessions Judge Saleh Uddin Ahmed suspended them on Thursday.
Subel Ahmed, assistant director of Noakhali Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), confirmed the matter, adding that suspension was made based on their departmental inquiries.
Earlier, ACC official Subel lodged a case against them over amassing wealth through illegal means, and they were shown arrested. Later, they secured bail from the court.
