Anexhibition has begun at National Art Gallery of Shilpakala Academy in thecapital to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
EducationMinister Dr Dipu Moni, State Minister of Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, Chinese Ambassadorto Bangladesh Li Jiming spoke at the inaugural ceremony held on Friday.
Speakingon the occasion, Dipu Moni said Bangladesh-China relationship could further bestrengthened through cultural exchanges.
ChineseAmbassador Li Jiming said they will support cultural and people-to-peopleexchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
ShilpakalaAcademy Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky, Bangladesh-China Friendship Center ChairmanMd Delwar Hossain and Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Chairman LinWeiqiang also attended the inaugural ceremony.
Theexhibition considered the largest Chinese show ever organised in Bangladesh is scheduledto be concluded on October 10.
Theshow has been divided into four parts – “Our Silk Road” photo exhibition, "BangladeshChildren Art Competition & Exhibition, "Express Your Chinese Story by Painting"art exhibition, and "Bangladesh andChina on the Belt and Road" photograph exhibition.
