BCL expel 11 activists over Abrar’s murder


Amidwidely protest Pro-Government student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) onMonday expel its 11 leader and activists after getting their involvement withBUET student Abrar Farhad murder.


Apress release signed by BCL central president Al Nahean Khan Joy and generalsecretary Lekhok Bhattacharjee was issued on Monday night.


TheBCL made the decision over recommendations by the probe committee which formedon Monday morning to look into the murder of Buet student Abrar Fahad.


Theexpellee are BUET BCL unit General secretary Mahedi Hasan Rasel , Vicepresident Muhtasim Fuhad, organising secretary Mahedi Hasan Rabin, Informationand Research secretary  Anik Sarker,Sports secretary Maftahul Islam zion, Literature secretary Moniruzzaman Monir,Deputy social welfare secretary Efti Mosharraf Sokal,  Deputy office Secretary Mostoba Rafid andthree members  Muntasir Al Zemi,  Ehtemamul Rabbi, Muzahidur Rahman.


Inthis regard, DUCSU cultural secretary also Asif Talukder said, "BCL expelthem permanently after scrutinizing CCTV footage and information”.


Notably,BCL held a press conference at madhur canteen on Monday vowing to takeimmediate stern action against those whom involved with the incident.


Onearly Monday, the deceased Abrar Fahad, a second year student of Electrical andElectronic Engineering (EEE) department of the university also a residentialstudent of Sher-e-Bangla Hall, was beaten to death on early Monday by someleaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
