Noted photographer Chanchal Mahmood who is regarded as the pioneer in the model photography of Bangladesh, revealing her wife Raina Mahmood has recently been diagnosed with cancer, has sought financial help from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chanchal, who is currently being treated at the intensive care unit of Labaid Hospital in the capital after suffering a heart attack on Sunday, wrote on his Facebook earlier on Saturday evening regarding financial aid for their immediate treatment.
Chanchal has also requested his friends and well-wishers to extend their support as the couple needs it badly today than any other time. In the appeal plea posted on his Facebook, Chanchal wrote, "My wife Raina Mahmood Mitu has been diagnosed with cancer.
Treatment started-a huge amount of money is needed for this-even I also suffered heart attacks thrice-I am also undergoing treatment. Everything is already spent in last 12 years. This is not possible to continue our treatment anymore.
We need a lot of money for the treatment of Mitu-within very few days, Mitu's treatment has to be continued in Tata Memorial Hospital. So, my dear friends, those who want to help us financially, please contact at this number--Chanchal Mahmood: 01711 522 126.

"I also draw the attention of honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Apa (sister) -Save us from this extreme calamity, please," Chanchal wrote in his post.
Seeking help from everyone, Chanchal's wife Raina said, "My husband's treatment is now more important than mine. If he would not survive, I have no reason to live. Both of us have become very helpless right this moment. Only Allah knows our destiny. I request our generous Prime Minster to stay beside us in our worst time."
