 The damage of connecting roads from the both sides of the bridge at Shujaitpur-Baluahat road at Teknaichukainagar village has been posing huge risk of lives of the commuters of the people of seven unions under Sonatola upazila in bogura for long period of time.

The connecting roads of the both side was swept away by the current of the flood water last year which was constructed few years ago. After the damage of the connecting roads, with the effort of the local Member of Parliament (MP) and former organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Abdul Mannan took initiative to make a bamboo-made connecting road in the both sides of the roads.

But thousands of people of the huge areas have been using the bamboo-made bridge with the risk of lives. Hundreds of rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, van, and motor cycles have been crossing the risky bamboo-made connecting roads with risks of the lives of the commuters.

Local union Awami League president Jahedul islam said that it is agro-based area and around 85 percent of people of the areas have been using the road from selling agro-products to the nearby markets and town for getting better price.

But due to the bridge, it is very difficult for them to carry the produced agro-products for getting right price. Chairman of Tekanichukainagar union under Principal Shamsul Haque said that the connecting roads were damaged by the two times of flood and it is burning question of the repairmen of the connecting roads soon.

Contacted, Moklesar Rahman, upazila engineer of LGED, Sonatola upazila said that the damaged connecting roads of the bridge will be repaired soon after getting the allotment of the high officials of the department.
