Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man with six pipe-guns and three rounds of bullets.The members of Bhairab camp of the elite force conducted a raid in Rishipara of Bhadughar in Brahmanbaria town early Tuesday and arrested Kazal Mia (48).
Rafiuddin Mohammad Jobair, company commander of Bhairab camp, came up with the information at a press conference at Brahmanbaria Press Club on Tuesday afternoon.
He said, "Kazal has been involved in arms dealing for 25 years. Acting on a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a raid at Rishipara of Bhadughar in the wee hours on Tuesday. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, Kazal tried to flee.
Later, he was arrested and recovered six pipe-guns with three rounds of bullets from his possession.
Process is going on to file a case in this connection with Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station." Chandan Debnath, senior assistant director of Bhairab camp, was also present at the press conference.
