Popular actor Abdun Noor Shajal is all set to make his comeback on silver screen after a hiatus of five years.
The actor plays lead role in Jaaz Multimedia's upcoming film 'Jinn'. The thriller-horror film is being directed by Nader Chowdhury.
'The film revolves around paranormal incidents. The story of Jinn is atypical and based on true events. I hope film lovers will find it entertaining,' said Shajal, who is playing the character named Rafsan in the film.
Popular actress Puja Cherry has paired up with Shajal for the film. Besides, Rokeya Rafique Baby, Ziaul Roshan, Mumu and others will play different roles in Jinn. The film has been shot in Manikganj, Savar, Tangail, BFDC and other locations in Bangladesh. Shooting for the film will end this month.
'I am enjoying working under Nader Chowdhury's direction. He is a talented director and a fun loving person. All my co-artistes are friendly and like to have fun during breaks. Hence we never have boring moments,' added Shajal, who won hearts of the audience playing diverse roles on small screen productions.
Shajal did not appear in any films after 'Run Out', which was released in 2015. The film, directed by Tonmoy Tansen, also starred Tariq Anam Khan, Omar Sunny, Romana Sharna and others.
'I am very selective when it comes to acting in films or the small screen. I don't compromise with quality. I was looking for the right script and when I read the script of Jinn I agreed to act in it right away. I am returning on silver screen after a long break. I hope my fans will go to cinemas and watch the film after its release,' said the actor regarding his silver screen comeback.
When asked about his upcoming plans, Shajal replied, 'I have been asked to join an upcoming reality show on young students studying at different educational institutions. After finishing the shooting for Jinn, I might join the project.'
