Bangladesh Women Journalist Forum (BWJF) expressed condolence over the death of distinguished woman Journalist Dil Monowara Monu. She (Dil Monowara) played key role in progress of the women in Journalism profession, said the BWJF leaders in a condolence message on Monday, reports BSS. Monu started her career in journalism in 1974 as a sub-editor with 'Begum' magazine edited by Begum Sufia Kamal and Nurjahan Begum. She was a contributor of the "Bijoyinee", the quarterly magazine, published by the BWJF. Later, she joined the fortnightly 'Anayna' as executive editor and was with the magazine for 25 years. She was active in various organizations including Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, Kochi Kanchar Mela and Nari Sangbadik Kendra. Dil Monowara Monu died at city's BIRDEM hospital at 1am on Monday at the age of 68years.
