Two physically disabled persons from the Bangladesh Protibandhi Kallyan Somity (BPKS) participated in the 35th Handi-marathon at Nagoya city in Japan on Monday.
In wheelchair racing Mizanur Rahman a physical disabled person who is Director of Jamalpur Disabled People's Organ-ization to Development (Jamalpur-DPOD) has won the first prize and Noor Nahian, physical wheelchair cricketer and student of East West University of Bangladesh got fifth prize in the 35th handi-marathon 2019.
The event is organized every year for the disabled persons by Nagoya-city administration together with the Organizing Committee of Gathering of Disabled Persons and Citizens. BPKS is one of the regular participants from Bangladesh in the handi-marathon event and gives nomination two persons every year.
BPKS is proud of the participation and winner of first prize by Mizanur Rahman and fifth prize winner Noor Nahian. The winner participants will arrive in Dhaka Shah Jalal International Airport on Thursday.
UNESCAP Disability Right Champion and Founder and Executive Director of BPKS Abdus Sattar Dulal will receive them at the airport.
