Agonisingly fall under pressure in crucial game and Bangladesh has a very intriguing relationship in the last couple of years and such is the frequency of the tragic ends when the opponent is the arch-rival India. But Mushfiq proved on Sunday night that the tragic ends were just a fluke as Bangladesh's one of the best batsmen held his nerve to give Bangladesh a historic win over India.

Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium witnessed something momentous on Sunday murky night when visitors Bangladesh pulled off their maiden T20 win over India. Tigers' stunning win was largely thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim but there were many heroes on a murky night in Delhi.

Bangladesh smelled victory when their inexperienced bowlers especially Shafiul, Al Amin Hossain, Aminul Islam and Afif Hossain produced disciplined bowling to restrict Indian powerful batting lineup while Mushfiq finished with the flourish with a match-winning 60 under pressure. Credit should also be given to captain Mahmudullah's captaincy.

Handed over the captaincy in the absence of Shakib and Tamim, Mahmudullah proved his leadership with a new-look side after being entrusted the job. The contest seemed to go out of India's hands in the 19th over when Mushfiq clobbered pacer Khaleel Ahmed for four straight fours.

It often whispers about the sloppy wicket-keeping performance of Mushfiqur Rahim, who missed many easy stumping and catching chances in past. The saga of Mushfiq's dismal performance behind the stumps is nothing new but Bangladesh's dependable batsman's batting has never been questionable.

Mushfiq answered his critics with yet another brilliant knock to leave Bangladesh turned from helpless to a historic win. "It's a great moment for Bangladesh cricket because we had not won against them [India] in the T20 format before and as you said, we were missing a couple of our key players [Shakib and Tamim] in our line-up, but I thought the way the young players have stuck together and the way our bowlers are bowling, especially against India, it's outstanding. They set up the game." The player of the match Mushfiq said after the match.

The stunning victory not only added a glorious chapter to Bangladesh's cricketing history but also made compensation for the team's recent abysmal incident regarding Shakib's ban and crickets' striking issue. Bangladeshi people usually do not get ample opportunities to celebrate their joy together.

The unstable political situation and the poor economic condition of most of the people never let them to smile for quite long. But the members of Bangladesh cricket team often bring the moments to be rejoiced together, forgetting all the miseries. Even few could have expected Bangladesh to challenge for win in India after the unavailability of Shakib and Tamim and Mahmudullah and co proved Bangladesh can win without Shakib and Tamim as over the years, the Bangladesh cricket team has established a reputation for their ability to turnaround.
